Marte and Marina are the designers and founders of KNIKSTUDIO. In addition to their friendship, they share a passion for creating minimalist, unique designs using PMMA acrylic. Authenticity and sustainability are key values for KNIKSTUDIO. They draw inspiration from life and everything that brings them joy.
KNIKSTUDIO creates interior design products from recycled, fully recyclable, and colored PMMA acrylic sourced from Italy. All products are handmade by KNIKSTUDIO. KNIKS exude simplicity and spaciousness and can be endlessly combined with each other. PMMA acrylic is water- and UV-resistant, making KNIKS suitable for placement anywhere, both indoors and outdoors. This ensures lifelong enjoyment for customers and moves away from the concept of 'fast furniture.'

PMMA Acrylic - WE LOVE IT!
This type of plastic has a glass-like appearance. PMMA is best known by one of its brand names: plexiglass. KNIKSTUDIO uses PMMA because of the unique way the material fragments light. It also has a playful vibe compared to the classic look of glass. PMMA has a rich history in the world of interior design, with many iconic items designed between the 1950s and 1970s. PMMA acrylic is a hard material, meaning it resists scratches and does not wear out.
KNIKS are designed to be part of everyday life, and they are meant to be used. Scratches do not detract from KNIKS; instead, they add character and dimension to the designs. Because PMMA is UV- and water-resistant, our products can also be used in humid spaces or outdoors. The versatility of KNIKS contributes to the longevity of the products.
